precautions for earthquake

If you are in bed, lie down, cover your head with a pillow. Stay away
from heavy furniture if it is nearbyAvoid using the lift, like a pendulum, the shaking can hit the wall and the lift can stop even if the electricity goes. Do not use weak stairs, usually the staircases built-in buildings are not strong. Stay indoors till the tremors and exit after the tremors stop.

If you get buried under the debris during an earthquake, do not burn matches at all because there may be a risk of gas leaking during this time. Do not move, and do not blow dust. Cover the face with a handkerchief or cloth. Keep patting any pipe or wall so that the rescue team can find you. Keep whistling if any whistle is available. If there is no other means, then keep shouting, although there is a risk of dust going inside the mouth, so be careful.
